Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of fourteen years old. As well as BJJ classes as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd gained confidence after her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated in the 1st round. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen and swept her away in an unanimous vote to remove a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock out McGill by TKO in the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd was unable to reach her weight. However, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina and ground-and-pounded her for a second-round TKO victory. She repeated her dominance and racked up an amazing victory in her subsequent bout against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. The first big fight she fought in was with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. After a break of a few seconds after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost by unanimous decision.
